This hospitality kiosk fitout at Port Adelaide Plaza was completed as part of the shopping centres Stage 3 expansion by delivering a vibrant and authentic Japanese-inspired dining destination. Finished within four weeks, the new kiosk combines eye-catching materials, custom finishes and practical design to create a welcoming space for customers to enjoy fresh sushi in the heart of the centre.
Positioned within Port Adelaide Plaza, this new sushi kiosk was designed to stand out while complementing the surrounding retail environment. Inspired by the energy and character of Tokyo, the completed fitout features bold textures, layered materials and striking signage that immediately captures attention from passing shoppers.

The kiosk was carefully constructed to create an authentic atmosphere that reflects the clients brand and dining experience.
Overlapping recycled timber board cladding forms one of the kiosks most recognisable features which brings warmth and character to the space. Cobblestone wall tiles add texture and provide a raw and natural contrast against the timber which creates a balanced and visually appealing finish.
One of the standout elements of the fitout is the extensive collection of illuminated lightboxes and signage surrounding the kiosk. This layered display creates a vibrant streetscape reminiscent of Tokyo, helping the business attract attention from multiple directions within the shopping centre.
The exposed metal framework has been finished with a textured black powder coat which adds a contemporary industrial touch while enhancing the kiosks overall presence. The durable finish also provides long-lasting performance in a busy commercial environment.
The kiosk includes an L-shaped bar bench with fixed seating for up to nine diners which allows customers to enjoy their meals in a casual and comfortable setting. The seating integrates seamlessly into the overall design which makes efficient use of the available footprint while encouraging customers to stop and dine.
