Newton village shopping centre went through a major transformation in 2020 and is home for Woolworths, Coles and a bunch of other retailers including a new Thread & Beauty Salon.The salon has space for 3 beauty stations as well as a private room tucked away behind a concealed pivot door.
This modern beauty salon fitout at Newton Village was completed as part of the shopping centres major redevelopment by creating a stylish and welcoming destination for beauty and wellness services. Delivered in just four weeks, the project combines premium finishes, clever space planning and custom-built features to provide an inviting environment for both clients and staff.
Following the transformation of Newton Village, the shopping centre welcomed a range of new retailers, including this beautifully designed Thread & Beauty salon. The new fitout was carefully tailored to maximise the available space while delivering a premium customer experience that reflects the brands modern identity.
The completed salon includes three dedicated beauty stations, a private treatment room concealed behind a pivot door, and a thoughtfully designed customer waiting area. Every element was completed with a strong focus on quality, functionality and visual appeal.
The fitout combines contemporary materials with custom features to create a salon that is both practical and visually impressive.
One of the standout features of this project is its striking shopfront. Full-height glazing creates an open and welcoming entrance, while a gold metal mesh sliding door with a glazed centre panel adds a distinctive architectural feature. A large 65-inch digital display is seamlessly integrated into the frontage which allows the salon to showcase promotions and brand messaging to passing shoppers.
Framing the entrance, a portal-style LED lighting feature wraps around both sides and across the top of the shopfront which makes the salon highly visible within the shopping centre and creating a memorable first impression.
The salon accommodates three floating beauty stations, each positioned against a geometric artwork backdrop that adds energy and personality to the workspace. Concealed benchtop mini bins have been incorporated into every station which helps staff maintain a clean and organised environment throughout the day without compromising the overall design.
A custom-built banquette seat provides a comfortable space for clients while they wait for their appointments. Designed with generous cushioning including a deep supportive base and a softer upper layer, the seating delivers excellent comfort while complementing the salons contemporary interior.
Natural materials and quality finishes give the salon a warm and inviting atmosphere while maintaining a luxurious appearance.
Tasmanian Oak timber cladding has been incorporated throughout the shopfront, feature walls and rear of the salon which introduces warmth and texture to the space. Large-format marble-look floor tiles provide an elegant contrast which enhances the modern aesthetic while offering a durable surface suited to a busy commercial environment.
